Reviews

I would recommend this setting for anyone, with or without children. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, just what you need after a busy day out. The managers of the property are unobtrusive with a message board in what we called the 'shed'. This also had leaflets and useful information for local restaurants. Looe is only 8 miles away and has a sandy beach for those who want to build sandcastles and go in the sea. It also has a rocky beach for those who like to go rock pooling (a very popular pass-time). I would recommend getting to Looe in the morning as by lunchtime the carparks are full (parking isn't expensive). The Eden Project isn't too far away and is an all day outing if you want to see and enjoy everything it has to offer (don't go when it's raining though as there is lots to see outside the biomes). Another great day out is a trip to the Bodmin Steam railway.

It was lovely to be able to walk or cycle into the city centre along the river. The patio was very relaxing and had comfortable furniture - even found some thyme in a pot on the patio and added a little into a spaghetti bolognese - delicious!
